“Women Rule” in more ways than one in Region 7. Yes, we know that 73% of our members are of the Male Persuasion, but of our 168 officers, 90 are women! And there’s been a surge of women joining Mensa in Region 7 during September (latest figures I have): 50% of new members were women! Tell your friends to check out the FREE Mensa website at www.us.mensa.org for details on joining us.
You HAVE visited the website, right?? If it’s been a while, you sign in with your member number and password, then click on Members (top column) and then on the “Member Primer” in the left-hand column. Some of my favorites there are “New Members”, “Nobody’s Perfect” (isn’t that the truth!) and “Help Your Group”. There is a LOT of information waiting for you on line. You paid your dues – take advantage of the resources available for you!
A warm welcome and a big thank you to our newest Region 7 Officers all from BOULDER/FRONT RANGE MENSA
Did you know that there is a Member Directory of your local group on line? Just go to www.us.mensa.org and sign in with your member number and password, then click on Members (top column) and then on the “Member Directory” in the lefthand column. Our region is “Region 7 – Heartland” and your local group is listed by name. Click “search” and ALL the members’ names come up. You can click on a name and get more information about that member. You can also search by zip code, or by interests, or by occupation, etc. This is a great way to start a Special Interest Group (also called a SIG) with others who share your interests. There is a LOT of information waiting for you on line. You paid your dues – take advantage of the resources available for you!
Happiest of holidays to one and all! I’d love to hear from you! Contact me at RVC7@us.mensa.org.
